Ideal for those who would like an introduction to cyclotourism or for those who wish to discover a new region in a quiet, safe and simple way. Perfect for discovering cyclotourism with the family and with children older than 10 or 12 years old.

Running over a distance of 160 kilometres as it journeys from Puebla de Híjar to La Ràpita, the Via Verda de la Val de Zafán is, without a doubt, one of the cyclotourist routes that delivers the most contrasting of sceneries. It is a route that takes you from South Aragon to the sea, while passing through two spectacular but very distinct natural parks, namely The Ports and the Ebro Delta.

Discover La Fresneda, Vallderoures or Horta de Sant Joan. Take a plunge in the Algars River, (Estrets d’Arnes) or at La Fontcalda. Pass through innumerable tunnels and over precipitous aqueducts. Discover histories about the railway or the Spanish Civil War. Spend the night in an old train station now converted as guest accommodation and then complete your journey along the Val de Zafan railway line by arriving in la Ràpita. Alternatively, you can follow the old “Carrilet” railway from Tortosa to the river mouth in the Ebro Delta. A route to fall in love with!
